Creta Adams - Close Up

HART of Folsom Board Director

Creta’s journey with HART of Folsom began while she was working with “Feeding the Fellas” here in Folsom, as a founder with her husband. It was around the time that rumors were circulating that other cities were actually relocating unhoused people into other cities.

Transitional Housing Program 2024

In November 2018, HART of Folsom established a transitional housing program for people striving to get out of homelessness and begin a new life as contributing members of our community. The clients in our transitional housing program work with HART’s professional case manager to address the issues that caused their homelessness. They develop individual goals and are connected to the resources needed for them to have a path towards self-sufficiency. Read More

January 2024 Update - Current Client Testimonial

The majority of the time after high school, I lived with family or stayed with friends in a garage. For a while, I had my own apartment that my dad helped me get. I was going through a lot trying to figure things out. I moved to Louisiana and then moved back with my family. But, I couldn’t see how to make life work living with my family. My circumstances weren’t getting better. There wasn’t a place for me to be able to think things through. I needed to get away but had nowhere to go. Before HART, I was living outside, sleeping in a sleeping bag, and it was really cold. I was alone in the elements and felt like I was going to die being on my own outside. Read More

Four Cornerstones!

HART of Folsom, Oak Hills Church, Folsom Lake College, and the Founder’s Corner, are the four cornerstones of HART’s 2025 building project to house homeless Folsom Lake College Students.

Our four-way partnership makes the dream to build the first interim

housing project in Folsom a reality with each of us as an anchor of the new building for student housing. For the past five years, HART and Oak Hills Church have partnered successfully to house homeless individuals on the Oak Hills Church Campus. Today, our expanded partnership with Folsom Lake College and the Founder’s Corner gives us the strong foundation needed to launch the 2025 building project for student housing.

Individuals, business owners, non-profit organizations, and corporations in Folsom that support the new student housing with a financial commitment are the Founder’s Corner.

Please join us! Together, we successfully reduce homelessness in Folsom! Interested in joining the Founder’s Corner? More Information
