Happy New Year And More!
Greetings!
Happy New Year And More!

This New Year came in roaring! The old ended, finally. The new came in with promise! As the saying goes, the old year is appologizing for being late because he flew on Southwest Airlines.

The truth is that my airline almost didn't make it either. Just prior to Christmas, I had two heart attacks which resulted in three stents. The day after Christmas my heart stopped for seven seconds, which was enough to freak-out all my relatives and wife and resulted in a temporary pacemaker, followed by a permanent pacemaker. Now everything is just tickety-boo, except I tire easily. Now I expect to get back to writing newsletters!

The new year has brought hope. As I write this email, my daughter-in-law is bringing forth a child, a boy, Matthias Richard. He was 7lbs 15ozs and 21". He was 3 weeks premature, He drinks and sleeps like a champ, which he is.

So, as the old man, Rick, hobbles off, a new life begins! Praise the Lord!
