Happy New Year Theatre Lovers!

At Theatre Collingwood we have put on our 2020 vision glasses and we like what we see! Our team has worked really hard to provide for you another great year of talent-filled shows. Eleven of them to be exact!  If you have not already bought your Early Bird Subscription you will want to call the office BEFORE FRIDAY as prices go up after January 10th. This week for only $195 you will receive tickets to FIVE performances, and if you choose to add on tickets to our shoulder season performances you can do so at the same low ticket price! Speak to Anne or Linda at the Box Office about our special benefits that our 2020 subscribers receive! AND, please help us to grow our audiences and tell all your friends. Thank you!

Up Next at TC!
Stay tuned to our Facebook page and Website for updates on all the talented performers that you will see at our LOVE Cabaret on February 12th!
At this time of year we also ask that you consider becoming a Theatre Collingwood Member. You do so by making a donation of any amount of $50 or more. Each category has special perks that also go along with the level of donation, and your total donation is tax deductible. Theatre Collingwood is a non-profit professional theatre company with charitable status. You may ask "why become a Theatre Collingwood Member"? There are many charities to donate to. We need your help in order for us to continue to bring great shows to Collingwood. Our ticket prices only cover about half of what it costs to put our shows on. Did you know that we bring in talent who have performed at The Stratford Festival, The Shaw Festival, Mirvish Productions, and also Broadway? At TC we help to fuel your spirit! It is important to have organizations that support your body and your physical health, but it is equally important (especially in this day and age) that we take care of our spirit. Live theatre does that for so many. Live theatre also provides a very positive environment for communities to come together. We provide programs for our youth to learn about theatre, to express themselves, and to gain self confidence. AND we tell the stories! It is the artists that design the hospitals, buildings and trails in our community. It is the artists who write and sing the music we enjoy. It is the artists who design the look of our beautiful downtown. It is the artists who perform in movies on the screen. It is the artists who create our delicious foods, design our clothes, and cut our hair. Artists make our world more beautiful. I will share a message I was told from one of our very generous donors. She said to me recently that there are so many causes to give to, and she did give to many. But she told me that theatre spoke to her spirit and for that reason she felt she must support it. She did very generously. And when her days ended she also left a legacy fund for us for multiple years of donations. Theatre Collingwood is 36 years old this year. We have done much for this community. We are now working with others to see a centre for the arts be built in Collingwood. But there is no need for a centre if there is no theatre company. Please consider having 2020 visions this year. See the future of Theatre Collingwood, and become a Member. Thank you.
Please note that we are once again looking for people who would like to volunteer for Theatre Collingwood as ushers, drivers, poster hangers, office support, committee members, etc. We have a great need for help on our fundraising committee at this time. Please give the office a call if you would like to know more about how you can help. We are also looking for more people to host our performers in your home. To house an actor you just need to provide them their own private bedroom and use of the kitchen, and it is normally from 1-7 days depending on the show. We do not pay for billeting but we do provide FREE theatre tickets, and the knowledge that you have really helped one of our Canadian actors.
I look forward to seeing you at our upcoming shows. If you do not have a copy of our playbill please check it out below. All the best to you and yours in 2020!
