HAPPY NEW YEAR FRIENDS!

Well, our favorite winter sport-SKIING-is being blessed by "Mother" Nature or the snow Gods-whomever you choose to worship! All four mountains have fabulous cover and if you love the trees, there is always a few turns hiding with some powder. It sounds like we have more storms coming the last half of January to add to the 100 inches of snow fall in December. Aspen Skiing Co. called it “the biggest storm in 43 years” in a recap that Skico end-of-month snow totals.(CLICK HERE).

Everyone always asks me when snowboarding opened up on Aspen Mountain. (CLICK HERE). The stories are all true and we skiers certainly resented the "invasion" in the beginning! It is a cute article.

So far everything remains open for business and even the City owned Wheeler Opera house is back with immediate Covid testing to enter (CLICK HERE). The new policy certainly makes sense for those of us who wish to LIVE our healthy Aspen lifestyle.

My father brought my family here in 1955 as a very young child and I remember the absolutely freezing ride up the single chairlift 1 with canvas fleece lined covers!!!

Yes, last year was totally insane with prices out of control and diminishing product. I am starting to call many "old-timers" I have known all these years to sell. It really is time to take advantage of the crazy prices if you are ready to move to lower altitude or even just warmer weather.
