Aquatic Plant Restoration Project

Thank you, Austin Parks Foundation!

Thanks to the support from Barton Springs stakeholder groups, Austin Parks Foundation has awarded Barton Springs Conservancy with a generous grant for the Aquatic Planting Restoration Project at Barton Springs Pool!

The Aquatic Plant Restoration Project is a vital and necessary component of maintaining and improving the Barton Springs experience. The newly added aquatic plants will help improve water quality and salamander habitat conditions. In addition to making physical improvements to Barton Springs Pool through habitat restoration, the aquatic re-planting efforts will reduce algae that impairs the ecological and swimming conditions at the Springs.

Natural Resources Survey of Zilker Park

Moving forward with the Zilker Park Master Plan

Barton Springs Conservancy is pleased to announce the Natural Resources Survey of Zilker Park has been fully funded by ongoing, dedicated donors. The Siglo Group began work in mid-Dec. 2019 with the goal of supporting the master planning process and long-term management of Zilker Metropolitan Park.
