Beaufort Regional (SC) Chamber
Blakely Williams has resigned her position as President & CEO effective January 31, 2020 in order to begin a career in economic development and local government relations with Dominion Energy. The Chamber has established a search committee and will be using Anissa Starnes with Swingbridge Consulting to fill the position.

Blowing Rock (NC) Chamber
The Chamber recently announced that it will
not host SAVOR Blowing Rock in the Spring of 2020. The Chamber is committed to bringing visitors to town during the "shoulder seasons" and will re-imagine a new SAVOR event over the next year.

Inc. recently announced its second annual Surge Cities list, a guide to the best 50 cities in America for starting a business. Coming in 33rd on the list is Greenville, SC, which is featured for the first time.

The Chamber of Hickory Nut Gorge (NC)
The Chamber's annual Christmas Gala Fundraiser was held December 5 at the Lake Lure Inn. Revenue records were the highest in the 25+ year history. We netted over $23,000, 200 attendee tickets sold, and our auction items were 100% donated and netted over $9,000.

Winston-Salem (NC) Chamber
As the Chamber and Winston-Salem Business Inc. (WSBI) work toward a combination that was approved unanimously by their two boards in October, a new name and executive leadership for the unified economic development organization is being announced. The unified organization will be called
Greater Winston-Salem Inc. and it will be led by
Mark Owens, who will serve as its President and CEO.
