Road Projects
Noack awards contract for Lake Woodlands, Woodlands Parkway at Robinson Road projects
Precinct 3 Commissioner James Noack awarded the contracts for the Lake Woodlands widening project as well as the Woodlands Parkway traffic signalization/Robinson Road intersection widening project during Commissioners Court Tuesday.

“Mobility and safety continue to be the main priority of this office,” Commissioner Noack said. “We are excited to move forward with these two projects.”

The Lake Woodlands project widens the road from .17 miles west of Six Pines Drive to I-45. This project will take approximately nine months to complete.

The Woodlands Parkway at I-45 project improves the intersections of the I-45 frontage access at Woodlands Parkway and Robinson Road. The project also includes widening Robinson Road at Patsy Lane. The limits of the Robinson Road widening are approximately 350 feet west of Patsy Lane intersection to approximately 550 feet east of the intersection. This project will take approximately 12 months to complete.

Both projects are slated to begin in February or early March.

They are funded by the November 2015 road bond referendum passed by voters.
UPRR Bridge, Rayford access road nearing completion

All concrete for the eastbound lanes on the east side of the UPRR bridge has been poured. The contractor is working to finish pouring the eastbound lanes on the west end of the bridge. Once completed, all lanes on the bridge will be poured.

The contractor completed installation of the drainage pipes and inlets for Rayford Access and is working to complete the paving for this section.
Rayford Road project highlights
  • Striping continues on on the completed asphalt and median sections.

  • Asphalt paving as well as curb and gutter work is ongoing along the eastbound lanes between Fox Ravine and the Grand Parkway.

  • All traffic signals are installed and operational except for the final three at Legends Run, Canyon Ranch and Fox Run.
  • The contractor is installing the final drainage pipes on the westbound side of Rayford Road between Legends Reach Drive and Legends Run Drive.
Alternating Lane Closures as Needed:

  • Eastbound and westbound temporary lane closures will occur Monday through Saturday, as needed, from Richards Road to the Grand Parkway for the duration of the project.

Thank you for your patience while construction crews continue to work as quickly and safely as possible. We recognize that construction can cause inconveniences, and we appreciate your understanding during this process. Please follow all road signs, pay attention to barriers and watch for crew members in the right of way.
