The Plunge is HWA's biggest fundraiser of the year, helping to fund environmental education programs, including Kids in the Creek. Celebrating its 26th year, this multi-week program is a wonderful example of community partnership and support with the goal to educate, inspire, and engage the next generation of environmental leaders and stewards.

Funds will also support Haywood Waterways' many other community education activities that raise awareness of clean water and its values for agriculture, wildlife, recreation, the economy, and human health and well-being.

In Other News....

FBRP Strategic Plan coming soon! We are putting the finishing touches on the strategic plan document, and will share it with everyone in February along with key action items.

Regional Stormwater PSA Campaign launched this month. Member organization RiverLink took the lead in securing funding for the campaign from the Community Foundation of Western NC, with support from Land of Sky Regional Council, and has contracted with Darby Communications to develop the campaign which includes an informational website, local individual and business feature stories, as well as media and social media outreach.

Help spread the word and link to the campaign from your channels as well - see here for content suggestions.
