Wrapping up last year's business and need access to office-related equipment and/or services? Let us assist! We can help you print (from your computer or ours, or from your phone), as well as scan, fax, and photocopy. We even have a notary on staff. (Best to call for her availability in advance, as she's not in the building every day.) The Library also offers two study/conference rooms, which are available by reservation and/or on a walk-in basis. Need to meet as a big group? We've got a large space for that, too, which is available by advance reservation. Email with questions or to book your date for that one! Craft Room Fun: STEAM Saturdays for kids!

Did you know? The Library offers monthly Saturday STEM learning sessions for children: STEM Club for kids in kindergarten through 5th grade, and STEM Club Jr. for kids ages 3-5 (and their grown-ups). STEM/STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. Each session will focus on a different topic and will include stories and hands-on experimentation. Kids might get a little messy, so dress accordingly! STEM Saturdays resume in February, after a little January breather! And just a reminder! NKCPL offers regular weekly Storytimes! While kiddos of all ages are welcome at Storytime, these sessions are especially geared toward preschool-aged littles. No registration required! Join us on Tuesdays @ 5:30 p.m. and Wednesdays @ 10 a.m. for Pre-k Storytime. These sessions include read-alouds, songs/movement, and a super-simple craft/activity. Have littles? Looking for some fresh opportunities for creative, open-ended play? Join us for LEGO time at NKCPL, now offered twice weekly! Drop in for LEGO fun (or stick around after Storytime) on Tuesday nights from 6:30-8 p.m., or join us from 10 a.m. to noon on Thursday mornings. LEGOs are provided, and kiddos of all ages are welcome. No registration required!

Want to start a new project or learn a new skill in 2023? Consider learning to sew! There's always something new to make, or a new skill or technique to explore. And with access to the Library's in-house sewing studio, you can expand your knowledge all year long--absolutely free! This month, we've got three classes on the docket, all taught by instructor Patty Ibarra: Borders, Borders, Borders Wed, Jan 11 @ 6 pm Intro to the Sewing Machine + OPEN SEW Tues, Jan 17 from 10 am-1 pm Intro to the Sewing Machine, Serger, and Embroidery Machine Wed, Jan 25 @ 6 pm At this time, these sewing classes are for adult sewists only.
