African American Chamber of Commerce of Western PA
The Chamber will hold several events in January including its Strategic Planning Workshop on January 12, its Members' Mixer on January 19, and its PowerBreakfast Meeting on January 20.
Chamber of Business & Industry of Centre County
The CBICC, in partnership with Pennsylvania Business Central, recognized the best of Centre County's business community at the second annual Excellence in Business Awards, held Dec. 15 in Boalsburg, PA. Finalists and winners were honored in six categories: Small Business of the Year; Visionary Company of the Year; Technology Company of the Year; Entrepreneur of the Year;  Business Leader of the Year and Young professional of the Year. The CBICC also honored this year's Impact Award winner: Dr. Joel N. Myers, Founder, President and Chairman of AccuWeather, Inc., as well as recognized the 2016 Economic Development Champion: Thomas Fountaine, State College Borough Manager. PSECU served as Presenting Sponsor.
Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber
For the past two years, the Brush Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce has been a critical partner to the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce.  This Shamokin-based business advocacy organization has approximately 75 members compared to 240 members in the recent past.  The Chamber was largely regarded to be the leading business organization in the anthracite coal region of eastern Northumberland CountyAs of January 1, 2017, the Brush Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce will dissolve and will then assimilate with the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce in order to create a footprint that will include Union, Snyder, Northumberland and Montour counties. The Chamber held its 104th Annual Luncheon in the Ed Fry Arena at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex on December 2. The luncheon was a great success with more than 380 guests in attendance and David Spigelmyer, president of the Marcellus Shale Coalition, as the keynote speaker.

The Chamber's 2017 Business Expo will be held at the Indiana Mall in Indiana, PA on January 28. It promises to be an exciting event filled with great business-to-business-to-new customer interactions. We're adding some fresh entertainment that should fill the halls of the Indiana Mall with people anxious to learn about many businesses.

Greg Buckler has resigned his position with the Chamber, and Karen Groh has been named the Interim President & CEO.
Main Line Chamber
The Chamber welcomes 2017 with our Annual Economic Forecast Breakfast & The Annual Meetings of The Main Line Chamber of Commerce and The Main Line Chamber Foundation on the morning of Thursday, January 12, 2017. Keynote speaker president & CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia Dr. Patrick Harker will focus his discussion on the Federal Open Market Committee, which formulates the nation's monetary policy. The event is expected to sell out with 250+ attendees and 12-15 news outlets covering the discussion.

The Chamber welcomed a number of its local, state, and federal representatives at a legislative reception December 14 at the Somerset Country Club.

The Chamber will welcome Rick Price, executive director of Pittsburgh Region Clean Cities, and other industry experts for " News at Noon: The Impact and Opportunity of Natural Gas in Somerset County" on January 11.

On November 15, Chamber Members gathered for the Giving Thanks Holiday Mixer/Expo. Members enjoyed visiting with the exhibitors, networking with fellow Members, and sampling the food and beverages provided by Chamber Members. This year, as a thank you to our Members, each Member in attendance received a candy bar - some of the bars had Golden Tickets hidden in the wrappers with prizes listed on them!

The Chamber recently hosted its 100 Year Anniversary Dinner with more than 200 members and guests at the Coatesville Country Club, an event marked by Chamber highlights, awards, and an extensive display of historical business memorabilia.
