Thank you for Helping RFLB Youth Know How Much You Care
The crazy first year of RFLB could not have ended on a higher note at our first ever Holiday Open House. Foster youth and former foster youth alongside our staff, volunteers and board members got creative with their tacky holiday outfits, masks were worn, prizes were won, gifts were given. The RFLB family room was filled with connection, care and laughter that seemed long overdue through COVID. The excellent hot chocolate and a VERY LARGE and VERY DELICIOUS variety of cookies homemade and donated by various Church for the Beach families made it feel especially cozy and joyful.

But overhearing the youth talk about how much fun they had amidst a time of year that can be especially sad and difficult for them was the best evidence of your loving care shining through. There's been so little that's felt clear in this last year, but for RFLB, these two things are abundantly clear: RFLB is doing the right thing at the right time, and we wouldn't be here without you.

As the year ends we want to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude for this inspiring community. Thank you to our faithful and inspiring volunteer admin, mentors, tutors, pantry organizers, community partners, donors, board members and to our youth members- you are hope bringers and light shiners. It's an honor to walk beside each of you. Happy New Year!!

New Year Youth Spotlight: Landis
When Landis is not whooping us at trivia on Zoom Social Hour you can find her faithfully showing up and working hard at her job or taking great care of her cats, friends & her friend's dog. She is one of the FYI voucher holders and has had stable housing for the past year. She's on the homestretch with her AA and we are cheering her on big time (Go Landis!) She loves to cook, read the stars and dream about being an entrepreneur. She's also been a long time and important member of the Brevard Youth Leadership Council. Thanks Landis for all the ways you are a great example to youth in transition and thanks for trusting us to participate in supporting you and helping you realize your awesome potential! Happy New Year and may 2021 be filled with more and more good things for you!
