Mid-Year Supply Drive for Teachers and Classrooms

The Foundation for Douglas County Schools will once again host a mid-year supply drive for teachers during the month of January. This annual event is a great way to support teachers by helping replenish classroom supplies for the second half of the year. More than 110 teachers benefited from the event last year.

The community-at-large can support this great cause by shopping and dropping off donated items between January 3 and January 26 at any Douglas County Libraries location, and Office Depot locations in Castle Rock, Highlands Ranch and Parker.

Donated items will be readied for teacher Grab’N’Go events at Canvas Credit Union in Lone Tree on Tuesday, January 30 and Wednesday, January 31 between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Any remaining supplies will be available for teachers to pick up at the Foundation for Douglas County Schools office at 620 Wilcox St., Castle Rock CO 80104.

National Girls and Women in Sports Day was chartered by the U.S. Congress in 1986 to honor female athletic achievement and recognize the importance of sports participation for all girls and women. Douglas County School District Office of Athletics and Activities, along with The Foundation for Douglas County Schools, is excited to again work together to honor middle and high school girls who have been selected by their schools for their achievement and character at the annual Girls & Women in Sports Luncheon. Please join us in honoring our athletes by becoming a sponsor of this annual event on Friday, Feb. 16, 2024
