Looking Back on a Remarkable 2018

As we close out the year, we reflect upon the remarkable accomplishments of 2018 with gratitude and amazement. Thank you for being a Friend of the Village. From all the directors and faithful volunteers of the VCP--we wish you and your household a very Happy New Year!
Announcing the 2019 "Match to a Million" Campaign
A testament to the generosity of our supporters, we are closing in on the million-dollar fundraising mark. We have raised $910,000 since the launch of our Capital Campaign last spring and are thrilled to have line-of-sight to the million dollar milestone!

A generous year-end gift of $15,000 by one of our members, with a request to make it a match on new memberships, gave inspiration to launch a fun milestone challenge. Upon this announcement, we will be launching our 2019 "Match to a Million" Campaign.

Currently, the VCP is requesting a $3,000 donation per household from those who desire to become Friends of the Village. But during the “Match to a Million” Campaign, the matching fund will kick in $500 on each donation, reducing the requested donation to $2,500 for the next 30 members. Once those 30 Match to a Million spots are filled, we will surpass the $1,000,000 fundraising milestone and 400 members.

We plan to send out a mailer to prospective members in January 2019 in addition to articles in several local publications. In the meantime, be our ambassadors and spread the word to neighbors and friends who you think might be interested in joining!

Click here to access our Friend of the Village Support Form ("Match to a Million" version). The form will be posted under "How to Give" on our website as long as spots remain available.
Forging Ahead in the New Year

Fence construction has begun. Drive by and take a look at the sections that have gone up! Expect fence installation to pick-up again in full force after the New Year.

Final pieces of our permit package for the large community building are expected in next week, with plans to submit to the county for permitting by our general contractor, John Rizzotto GC, LLC by week's end.

Pool Professional Services will pick back up with their work in mid-January, starting with tiling work around the waterline on the larger pool.

Watauga Construction will begin building of our Grace Pavilion as soon as that element of the project is permitted. The pavilion kit material is expected to arrive in February and should take about a month to complete from start to finish.

Pictured in this section is a rendering showing a future view of the Grace Pavilion and main community building, as viewed from the southwest. We will share more images over the coming months as we near groundbreaking and as features on the property near completion.

Our thanks to Raul Ocampo & Associates for their in-kind donation of time and expertise developing our renderings, giving us a beautiful visual and likeness of what we aspire to build!

A few highlights from 2018--from our grassroots fundraising campaign and closing to Community Workdays, our Inaugural Run for the Village 5K & Fun Run event, and the start of construction.
