💙 Thank You, Wackerli Subaru and Operation Warm! 💙
We are incredibly grateful to Wackerli Subaru and Operation Warm for their generous partnership with us here at United Way of Eastern Idaho. Because of this amazing partnership on January 12th over 200 local children in our community received warm, brand-new coats, hat, boots, and gloves —helping them stay safe, comfortable, and confident during the colder months. 🧥❄️ Kids were also able to grab new books from our Ready. Set. READ! literacy program, that builds home libraries and encourages the love of reading.
Operation Warm is more than just coats; it’s about showing kids that their community cares. Thank you, Wackerli Subaru, for your commitment to giving back and for making a meaningful difference for families right here in Eastern Idaho. Together, we’re warming hearts and changing lives. 💙

Thank you, Women United!
On January 6th, dedicated members of Women United rolled up their sleeves to make a difference in the lives of local elementary students. The volunteers spent time organizing the new clothing inventory for the Ready. Set. GO! Clothing and Hygiene program, ensuring that shelves are fully stocked and ready to serve students in need.
The Ready. Set. GO! Clothing & Hygiene program provides essential clothing and hygiene items to elementary students, helping them feel confident and prepared for school. Working directly with local elementary school counselors to assist families facing challenges. Thanks to the hard work of these volunteers, the program is now better equipped than ever to support children in our community.

Workplace Giving Campaign
Idaho Environmental Coalition (IEC) employees raised $61,229 for United Way agencies in Eastern Idaho. Every year, IEC, the environmental cleanup contractor for the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Environmental Management, offers an employee payroll deduction campaign where employees can designate funds to one of three United Way agencies in the region.
100% of employee pledges made through the campaign stay right here, funding vital programs run by local nonprofits.

Did You Know... ALICE?
Did you know that just under half of all Eastern Idaho households are at or below the ALICE Thresholds?
44% of households are within the ALICE threshold, making too much to qualify for benefits, but not enough to pay their bills.
At United Way of Eastern Idaho, ALICE is our “why.” ALICE—short for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed—represents individuals and families who are working, yet still unable to afford basic necessities. The ALICE metric offers a more accurate, modern alternative to the Federal Poverty Level by reflecting the true cost of living today, accounting for inflation and essential expenses such as housing, childcare, food, transportation, and healthcare.
