January President's Message

Greetings

Happy New Year! I am honored to serve as your chapter President for 2026, and look forward to continuing to learn and grow our financial planning profession together.

I would be remiss if I did not take this opportunity to recognize and thank Aaron Clarke profusely for his dedicated service as chapter President in 2025. He exemplifies leading by example, and his dedication to advocacy and giving back to our community are efforts I am striving to build upon as we kick off this new year. 

FPA’s purpose to me means bettering ourselves and our surroundings to best serve our clients. I, along with my colleagues on the Board, are thrilled about everything this year has to offer within our National Capital Area chapter and beyond, as I feel it all truly embodies that sentiment.  

To that point, we have two exciting events coming up:

• January 15^th - Lunch and Learn on at Patsy’s American, featuring a panel presentation, “Mortgage Under Management: Added Value for Your Financial Planning Portfolio” for 1 CFP® CE credit

• February 13^th – The Smarter Planner Symposium at the Hyatt Tyson’s Corner, featuring 7 CFP® CE credit talks, including Keynote address from Carl Richards & Michael Kitces

To start this year off strong, Aaron and I would like to give the gift of community and learning to you.
