AG STUDIOS
Welcome our Newest Member Aaron with AG Studios. "My name is Aaron Garza, and I am 40 years old. I grew up in the "Valley" but moved to Kerrville in 2004. I was 22 and became an Electrician for Residential, Industrial, and Commercial. I now work as a Field Engineer in the Micro Turbine Generator area.
Through all of that time, I've always loved art. I have always found myself doodling wherever I was, starting in Kindergarten! Needless to say, I have seen myself as an artist all my life. In my teens, I began to experiment with tattooing. I started with the old school hand poking on friends, then gradually got my hands on a homemade tattoo machine. It was something that I never gave too much thought to, especially owning my own shop, nor took very seriously until I was older.
As I stated above, I moved to Kerrville in the year 2004 and have been here ever since. Kerrville is now my home. I worked in a few different tattoo shops through the years in my spare time to learn more and to work towards bettering my skills.
But mostly, I have to say, as a tattoo artist, I am/was self-taught. I studied other artists, and I asked a lot of questions when I had the chance. I've been to multiple tattoo conventions when I've met other top-notch artists that have paved the way in the tattoo Industry. One in particular that I looked up to is the great Lyle Tuttle. His accomplishments inspired me to be the best I could be, along with many other artists. Tattooing is an escape for me outside of my trade. I get a great feeling when I am able to create a unique piece of art for someone. The joy brings them; the special meaning the tattoos hold for them. It's an honor to do them justice.
I've been tattooing for over 15 years and decided it was time to open my own studio. I am by appointment only so that I can give each one of my clients my undivided attention. I am grateful for the opportunity to share my skills with the city of Kerrville and the surrounding areas. Thank you" - Aaron Garza
