What to Expect in the New Year
First National Bank to Anchor Lower Hill District with New Headquarters on Block G1.
2020 will be an exciting year for the Lower Hill. BPG’s first 2 phases for the Lower Hill Redevelopment are scheduled to break ground this upcoming summer. The 24-story high-rise recently announced as the new headquarters for First National Bank is planned for the corner of Washington Place and Bedford Avenue. It includes more than 387,000 square feet of office space, more than 20,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space and a two story parking garage. The project includes a plaza adjacent to the building where the company plans to host community events. The project will attract several hundred million dollars of investment to the redevelopment and seed the Reinvestment Fund that will be the catalyst for financing critical economic development initiatives across the Greater Hill District.

Live Entertainment and Parking Venue to Highlight Block E
The live entertainment venue at Logan Street and Wylie Avenue will be an important catalyst for community reinvestment and further development. It will consist of retail space, a stage for live entertainment, an indoor seating area, a raised lawn area for outdoor seating, as well as an 850-space parking garage. More details to come!
Workforce Development
Our goals for the Lower Hill Redevelopment go far beyond constructing new buildings. We have a great opportunity with this project to positively impact the men, women and children of the Hill District and beyond. Through community partnerships with local non-profit organizations, resources and learning opportunities are at the tip of your fingertips, all for free! We encourage businesses and entrepreneurs to not only seek job opportunities in the project, but also to utilize the many resources and services available through our organizational partners to expand their capacity and capitalize on new prospects.
