January 2020
We hope you had a restful winter break. We are right back into the swing of things here at Marina. Read below to hear about all the awesome things happening this semester that you can be a part of.
Note from Ms. Daws

Hopefully everyone is looking forward to this long weekend and sunshine instead of rain.

We have been challenged by having to stay inside due to the rain during lunch so we are looking forward to a little dry weather.
Also, a new rule we are implementing next week is that earbuds are not allowed (wireless or wired) during the school day. We have had too many lost and stolen. If they are brought to school, they should remain in the back pack with the cellphone. Thank you for understanding.

Happy 3 day weekend with your families!

Lunar New Year Dinner!
Our 2nd annual Lunar New Year Family Dinner is on Wednesday, January 29th from 6-8pm at the Chinatown YMCA.
We will be providing dinner, games, prizes, and a chance to celebrate the new year with other friends and families.

Your whole family is welcome!
Conchas Y Cafe Meeting
On Friday, February 7th we invite any latino families to attend our Conchas Y Cafe meeting from 9-10am at Marina Middle. This will be an informal meeting to gather the latino family community here at Marina and discuss how we can strengthen relationships in the school and with each other.
