This beautiful guy is Monkey and he would very much like to meet you. He's a super smart (like really, really smart) 5-year-old Lab/Shepherd mix who loves to explore the outdoors and chase balls. This handsome older gentleman is as sweet as it gets! This guy may seem shy at first, but once he warms up, he wants all the chin and ear scratches he can get! Ivan Jr. would love a window seat to watch the world go by, especially near his favorite people. Are you looking for a buddy to curl up on the couch and watch Netflix with? Domino is a favorite of staff and volunteers and comes with a lot of adoption incentives to make his transition to a new home as easy as possible! He's an Australian Cattledog/Pittie mix and is ready to find his family. This active, playful boy loves fetch, and has a great time playing in the yard and enjoying nature. He also likes to splash around in the water at the beach like a true PNW pup, showing off his tricks, and cuddling with his friends! Such a good boy!

Keep Your Pets Safe for the Holidays!

The holiday season has begun! Here are a few things to keep in mind when celebrating with your favorite people and pets:

• Avoid giving in to begging as table scraps can hurt your pet's tummy!
• Prepare your pet their own festive meal. Lots of pet food brands offer holiday-themed foods that won’t wreak havoc on their digestive tracts.
• Plan time for your pet to exercise before festivities to burn energy and avoid anxiety.
• Don’t leave the trash unattended. Discarded bones, plastic packaging, and more can seriously injure your pet. Make sure trash is stored in a secure location.
• Make sure your pets are licensed! Having their tags on their collars, microchips, and licensing increases your chances of being reunited with your pet if they manage to squeeze through the door during all the excitement!

October Adoptions

It was another busy month at Kitsap Humane Society, with staff and volunteers scrambling to find families for a whole shelter-full of adorable animals. In all, 395 animals were taken in by KHS over the 31 days of October.

When all the critters were counted up, we discovered that 377 animals found new homes, including 199 kittens, 86 adult cats, 61 adult dogs, 17 puppies, and nine rabbits!

Thank you to each and every person who helped these adoptions happen - from the staff who welcome them in, to the generous people who welcome them into their homes. Staff Spotlight

Welcome Joe Singh!

Join us in welcoming Joe Singh to the Kitsap Humane Society team as our new Director of Finance and HR. He brings with him an impressive track record of 16 years of operational expertise and extensive experience in finance, having supported leading firms in the big tech, investment banking, and biotech industries.

Joe's background and education make him a standout leader in the field. Hailing from the Boston, Massachusetts area, he completed his undergraduate studies in Finance and Economics at Morehouse College. He further honed his expertise by pursuing graduate studies in Finance and Strategy at both Harvard University and Northeastern University.

Over the past seven years of his career, Joe held pivotal positions at Amazon, where he led finance organizations for key business units such as PXT AWS, Global Media and Entertainment, Devices and Services, and the Advertising segments. His contributions at Amazon have been instrumental in shaping the financial success of these divisions.

Joe is not only a dedicated professional but also a family man. He resides in Maple Valley with his wife, two children, and their beloved rescue dog, Jade (a KHS alum). His commitment to his family aligns with his passion for animal welfare, making him a perfect fit for the Kitsap Humane Society's mission and values. We are thrilled to have Joe on board, and his extensive expertise will undoubtedly benefit our clients and the Kitsap Humane Society's continued growth and success.
