Nurses Week 2017 celebrates the amazing nurses who tirelessly devote their careers to improving healthcare and the lives of patients.  Nurses represent the very best of healthcare, and today now more than ever, play a critical and central role in healthcare innovation and entrepreneurship.  As we look back over the last year in our initiative to expand nurse innovation and entrepreneurship, it has been a year of pushing the boundaries of education and experiences for nurses in healthcare innovation. What started with a  Nurse Innovation & Entrepreneurship Summit-Hackathon in June 2016, resulted in the formation of 9 events over the past year for nurses to partake in innovation and entrepreneurship programming at Northeastern University School of Nursing. The Academic Year ended with a NurseSharkTank event on May 1st, with 11 companies/teams from around the country participate for the most transformative ideas in healthcare/nursing – see below for our winning teams.  We want to give a special thank you to our Mission Sponsor, Exergen Corporation, for their support - none of this would have been possible without their commitment to believing in nurses as healthcare innovators!  Please join us for our upcoming events, including our Nurse Practitioner Entrepreneurship Conference in July, and our Nurse Innovation & Entrepreneurship Summit in September.
