Display your collection, crafts, or art

Do you have a collection that you would be willing to display in the glass case in the library lobby for a month? Do you have crafts or small art that you would like people to see? We are looking for displays for the lobby. Artists and craftspeople can leave business cards for anyone interested in their creations. If you are interested in exhibiting, please contact Amy Friedman at amyfriedman@rodgerslibrary.org or click the button below.
Monthly Spice Club
Each month will feature a different spice or spice mix from around the world. The spice kit will include a small amount of the spice, some recipes, and a bit of background about the spice's use. Spice kits can be reserved through the library catalog and picked up at the library while supplies last..

The October spice blend is Baharat. This spice blend is used in Persian cuisine and other Middle Eastern dishes to flavor lamb, chicken, beef, sweet potatoes, and more.

Join us for a Zoom “Spice Chat” with special guest Nicole Gagliardi, owner of The Spice and Tea Exchange in Portsmouth, Wednesday, October 27 at 10:30 AM. Share your opinions & experiences with this month’s spice mix.

Genealogist Gerry Savard will present on research techniques for when birth, marriage and death records cannot be found as well as a discussion of census records, border crossings and draft registration. Researching newspapers for marriage intentions, marriages, and deaths will also be covered.
