Today I would like to take the time to acknowledge and commemorate the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah, a very special time for thousands of families in our community and our city. We join them today in celebration of this New Year and in celebration of our wonderful diversity. 

 

We anticipate a wonderful, challenging, fruitful and exciting new year, one that will see us grow together and strengthen the bonds of our community. The Jewish community has been one of great strength and inspiration, a pillar in our neighborhood, and their contributions have been invaluable.

 

Let us all wish L'Shanah Tovah to our friends, family members and neighbors as we ring in the Jewish New Year!
