Happy Saka Dawa Duchen! Tuesday, June 14 is Saka Dawa, one of the four great holy days of the Tibetan calendar, commemorating Shakyamuni Buddha's birth, enlightenment, and parinirvana. As many of you know, Saka Dawa is a powerful merit-multiplying day when karmic results are multiplied by one hundred million, as cited by Lama Zopa Rinpoche in the vinaya text Treasure of Quotations and Logic. As we mentioned in last month’s eletter, the very popular LYWA free book, Lamrim Year, which we published in 2021, is soon to be released as a FREE web application! This means that you will be able to easily access your daily lamrim contemplation anywhere on a web browser, whether on your phone or on your computer.
This forthcoming free web app helps you keep track of your progress through the lamrim outline, sends you a reminder email when you complete each Day that also includes a link to the next Day’s contemplation, gives you the ability to review previous Days at will, allows you to take personal notes as you go, and provides easy access to all related Lamrim Year resources for more in-depth study.

Practices for Lama Zopa Rinpoche’s Continued Good Health and Freedom From Hindrances

Last month Khadro-la observed that there are still obstacles to Rinpoche’s health and individual students along with FPMT centers were advised to recite the refuge and bodhicitta prayer for two months. For those who wish to do this practice, here is a link to Rinpoche’s own teaching and guided meditation for how to do this meditation.
