Black history does not end with February! Join the Heathmere Center for Cultural Engagement and the Beverly Public Library on March 1st from 7pm-8:30pm for their March conversation on “Race Amity.” They will show a 50 minute documentary about the history of racism in the US through the lens of friendship and collaboration. Following the film will be time for a facilitated dialogue about what cross-racial friendships mean for us today. Registration is required, learn more here.

March 4th marks the second annual Lucky Leprechaun Pub Crawl for a Cure! The fundraiser was created to help Beverly native and member of the Beverly High School class of 2007, Bobby Forster with his medical expenses as he continues his battle with ALS. Ten Beverly establishments; A&B Burgers, Backbeat Brewing Co., Bonefish Harry’s, Greg’s Tavern, Coastal Mass. Brewing, Fibber McGee’s, Gentile Brewing Co., Old Planter’s Brewing Co., The Anchor Pub & Grille and The Falconer Pub, have joined in to help with the fundraiser by offering generous discounts on food and some establishments will be offering specialty beverages. Pub Crawl participants will pick up their bracelets and packets at Old Planter’s Brewing Co., between 1pm - 3pm on the day of the event. Raffle tickets will be available at Old Planter’s between 1pm - 3pm and the winner will be drawn at The Anchor Pub & Grille at 5 pm. You do not have to be present to win. Get your tickets here!
