Happy Spring! We made it, yogis. The arrival of Spring -- the brighter days, the warmer afternoons, and the song of the birds -- it all has me feeling lighter.
For this week's newsletter, I thought I'd share my favorite Spring-time practices:
  • Meditation Walks – I like to make time for quiet walks by myself as the weather begins to break. After a while, my breath rhythm aligns to the pace of my walk, and I’ll tune into the sounds and sensations of the early Spring day.
  • Spring Cleaning – In my home, we shake off the dust of Winter by opening up windows and cleaning top-to-bottom. This past weekend, I tried the KonMari method of “tidying up.”  Named after Marie Kondo and made famous by her Netflix special, the KonMari method asks you to 1. Consider whether items in your home bring joy, 2. Offer gratitude for their services, and 3. Remain present as you simplify. It felt very much like yoga practice. Speaking of…
  • Yoga Practice – Sun Salutations are a wonderful way to harness the energy of the season!

What are the practices that help you to transition from Winter to Spring?

Wishing you the best,
w/ Paul Richards
