🌟 Kids Say the Darndest Things 🌟

* A funny story from Stepping Stones*

Mrs. Val has a special girl named Riley who has flourished with us. Mrs. Val’s class was working on opposites and she was going over the street light colors and what to do when you see them. Mrs. Val asked the class, “What do you do when you see the color yellow?” Riley tells the class, “You speed up!” We love Riley and Mrs. Val!

Bright Ideas Memphis

(Tennessee)

As Tennessee starts to see signs of Spring, the Infant 2 room has been enjoying the warmer weather outside! They've been using their gross motor skills to pull up, stand, and cruise while playing! They've also been exploring music. The 4's have been helping each other with art/drawing, and the Pre-K's have been gearing up for Dr. Suess week and "The Lorax"!

🌟 Spotlight 🌟

A special shout out to our winners of the Friday Smiles challenge this month: Ms. Taylor, Ms. Elizabeth, and Ms. Connie! Each Friday every teacher would start the day with a heart clothespin on their shirt. To keep their clothespin throughout the day they had to remain positive and refrain from saying anything negative! If they happened to "slip" the person who heard the negative comment could take the others clothespin! Ms. Taylor, Ms. Elizabeth, and Ms. Connie were our three winners for each Friday of February as they ended up with the most clothespins at the end of the day! ~Director at Bright Ideas Memphis

Bright Ideas Midlothian

(Virginia)

This month at Midlothian, the local fire department came to teach the Junior Kindergartners about fire safety! The whole center also celebrated Valentine's Day with parties and by exchanging Valentine's cards!

🌟 Spotlight 🌟

We’d like to take a moment to highlight Tyson from our School Age Program! Last week he was the recipient of a very big award from the Chesterfield County Public Schools Superintendent for the Superintendent’s Citizenship Award. This is a very rare award that is for all elementary, middle and high school students in Chesterfield county-yes, all 64,000 students and Tyson received it! The Superintendents stopped by and made a surprise visit to him to present the award at his school! This award is so well deserved and we couldn’t possibly be more proud! 💙💛💙 ~ Director at Bright Ideas Midlothian
