Today, civic participation occurs at many levels. We make impactful decisions about our community every time we make a purchase, vote, post on social media and, of course, volunteer. Happy St. Patricks Day

St. Patricks Day is the celebration of Irish culture with parades, special foods, music, dancing, drinking and a whole lot of green! Here's how your family can celebrate the holiday this weekend:

Catch the 45 year old tradition of Greening of the Fountain for St. Patrick's Day, watch this annual event via the Fountain Hills live stream

Indulge in the classic Corned Beef & Cabbage dish at Chompie's where it is all-you-can-eat this weekend

Bring the Family to the Children's Museum of Phoenix to make Silly Shamrock Wands and create your own luck of the Irish

If you haven't filed your taxes, you can direct where your tax dollars go by supporting HandsOn Greater Phoenix! Single filers can give up to $400 and joint filers can give up to $800 to HandsOn and receive a dollar-for-dollar credit on your 2022 taxes!

Cheers to VISTA Sam!

To celebrate AmeriCorps Week, HandsOn's VISTA Member, Sam Lopez, was highlighted for her work at the City of Phoenix Neighborhood Services Department! Sam is working as a Volunteer Recruiter tasked with getting high schoolers involved in community volunteerism to become future leaders.

Egg-celent Easter Volunteer Opportunity

Calling on all volunteers to HOP on this volunteer opportunity!

On Saturday, April 1st from 9 am -2 pm, join the Salvation Army for RJ's Eggstravaganza! At the event, more than 2,000 kids will hunt Easter eggs, make arts & crafts, play in bouncy houses, and more. Volunteers will be asked to fill Easter eggs with candy, facilitate activities, and help with clean up.
