Ellen's Updates
~ LAI continues to expand our global volunteer base; we have a new writer who lives in Australia as well as two teachers in Abu Dhabi, UAE who plan to have their K-12 students write to our seniors on a quarterly basis!
~ Speaking of our diverse volunteer base...we have requests for letters written in 13 languages besides English! Please share your talents if you are able to send correspondence in Arabic, Creole, Dutch, French, German, Greek, Hindi, Italian,
Japanese, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian or Spanish. Let's reach out to the most isolated of our seniors; do let me know if you need help finding any of these specific requests.
~ Another spreadsheet challenge: You all did an outstanding job last cycle, filling up the states on the bottom half of the spreadsheet! This cycle, let's focus on sending letters and cards to every senior in every facility in New Jersey (by far our busiest state, with over 50 partner facilities.)
~ Our next Zoom Party is scheduled for Saturday, October 23rd...if you do not receive the Zoom link, please contact me, as I will be closely monitoring the Coordinator in-box for 45 minutes prior to the start of the get-together.
