Are you ready because we certainly are! Next week we will be transitioning to our brand new Sign Up Portal. I know that this might feel a bit scary but we will be here to help every step of the way!

The portal will be up until Saturday for you to practice with it as much as you like. We have also released a series of video and written tutorials for you to follow if you need them. You can find them here. If you have further questions, we will be running a zoom help room on Friday morning at 12pm EDT - you can join that here.

Next Sunday, you will get your newsletter as usual, but you will not see your volunteer ID! Instead, you will get the link to our new portal alongside the regularly scheduled content that appears in our newsletter! That link is right here: lettersagainstisolation.com/signup.

We know that as you sign up for letters for the first time, you might need some help. We will have a zoom room open from 9am to 7pm EDT - you can join that here. We will need some help from you. If you feel confident with the new portal and have even a spare half-hour next Sunday, please sign up to be a launch support volunteer here. This means you will help explain the portal to other volunteers who join the Zoom room with questions.

Last week I misspoke! After THIS week, we will no longer be assigning volunteer IDs? How exciting is that? Our final volunteer ID issued was 21451

We are almost halfway to writing to all our seniors. Let's make our last week with the spreadsheet the best!

April showers bring May flowers! We love these bright and sunny letters that student volunteer, Dunia, has been sending out to the seniors! Each of her letters is themed with a different color. I challenge you to try this idea, starting with yellow!

We are so excited to introduce you all to Satish - the mastermind behind the amazing new LAI platform. Satish has now spent over a year investing hours into developing this platform, and we are so excited to be (fingers crossed) launching it next cycle! Let's give Satish a virtual round of applause for all he has done for LAI! Thank you Satish!!

We know you are all curious to learn more about the brains behind the spectacular new sign-ip platform, so we hope you enjoy this bio that Satish shared with us. Stay tuned for the interview with Satish that we will be publishing on the LAI blog!

Inspired by LAI's awesome mission to reduce senior isolation around the world, I started prototyping LAI's new pledge application in April 2021. Armed with my technology consulting skills spanning 25 years, I am currently collaborating with our amazing founders to build out our new Signup web application that will support all the wonderful volunteers of LAI, as we continue to grow around the world!

When I'm not busy consulting, I thoroughly enjoy socializing with my friends (and strangers) over board games. Or attempting to finish my massive backlog of video games, and movies. On days when it's not raining in sunny Seattle, I like to enjoy the outdoors on long drives and camping in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
