We hope you and your families are all well and healthy during these unprecedented times.
Like most organizations and people across the country, Covid-19 has led FIRE to make adjustments. We were expected to start our largest project yet, in 2020. After many delays we now expect to start in early 2021. Most of our staff have taken unpaid leave as we weather these uncertain times and delays. So, thank you for your continued support!
Since 2011, FIRE has been the only organization working on liver health in rural Mongolia. We have conducted seven liver screenings in six provinces reaching 8,526 people in direct support of the World Health Organization's strategy to eliminate viral hepatitis by 2030, and the Mongolian Government's "Healthy Liver" program to eliminate hepatitis C by 2024.

After our successful completion and thorough evaluation of this project, FIRE developed "Hepatitis Free Mongolia, Phase 2." We are very excited for this new project to begin in early 2021.
