THANKSGIVING STORIES

We all love a great feast and warm (and sometimes spicy!) gathering of friends, family, and favorites during Thanksgiving. Making Mom’s biscuits, creating memories, and laughing until our sides hurt are all on the menu! We’ve collected some of the top stories from each of our Sundog team to bring to the memory buffet and share a taste of what makes Thanksgiving special for us.message here

ALGAACIQ TRIBAL GOVERNMENT

The Algaaciq Native Village is a predominantly Yupik village of approximately 500 people. The village lies near the confluence of the Andreafsky and Yukon Rivers, upstream from the delta into the Bering Sea in southwest Alaska.

Our Sundog team enjoyed working with the Algaaciq team to create this beautiful and streamlined website which provides a convenient resource for community events and important local services, in addition to a bit of tribal culture, history and leadership information.

CHUGACH MUSEUM

Chugach Museum is an Alaska-based nonprofit with a mission of sharing the Chugach Native people’s way of life and knowledge. The Chugach Region – which includes Eyak (Cordova), Seward, Valdez, Port Graham, Chenega, Nanwalek (English Bay) and Tatitlek, does not currently have a dedicated cultural space. Many precious artifacts – some dating back thousands of years – are sitting in storage, tucked away in hard-to-access locations or displayed thousands of miles away in out-of-state museums.

Sundog Client Spotlight

“Our team was looking for a strong platform and website design team to highlight the economic diversity of our Borough and house extensive data plugins in the coming year. Sundog’s vast portfolio of websites for leading entities around Alaska made us feel excited for what our website could be. From start to finish, Sundog walked us through every design element, asking us what we liked and what we didn’t. Our new site has just been published and we couldn’t be prouder. It’s so much better than we had imagined!”
