Stewardship for All Seasons

Thank you to many of you who have been able to turn in your intent cards. The ministry and mission of CtK is one that continues to impact lives of all ages with the saving message of Jesus Christ. Your gifts directly support faith forming ministry and people we reach. In fact, here is what one family said, “We’ve been watching CtK online during the pandemic and our family likes what we see. We want to join.”

Our goals for the 2021 Ministry Spending Plan:

Visual Storyteller & Community Life Coordinator positions

Currently we are at $33,000 – 66% of the way there!

Over the last 10 days we have received 33 intent cards! That makes our total of 139 intent cards returned. We are at 25% of our total mailed out cards and desire to reach 50% return rate.

We would like all intent cards returned no matter what your response is. All gifts are celebrated as we seek to develop the spiritual practice of stewardship in the lives of the people of CtK and everyone we minister to.

Support Group for Caregivers with

Loved Ones in Care Facilities

During this challenging time, we recognize the need for support for caregivers that may be unable to see their loved ones. Fox Valley Memory Project is starting a support group specifically for caregivers who have loved ones in care facilities. This is an open group and attendees are welcome to join at any time without registration. This group will start out taking place over Zoom until it is deemed safe to return to in-person programming. Join us the 2nd Thursday of each month at 12 PM.

Prayer Partners Ministry

Because of Covid-19 we will be registering on-line this year. With all that's going on we all could use extra prayers. Would you like to have someone to pray just for you? Would you like to pray for someone else?

The Prayer Partner Ministry participants are secretly assigned a person to pray for throughout the year. Anonymous notes of encouragement or celebration can be sent to your partners. Small gifts are nice too, but not necessary.

Prayer Partners run January-December with a "partner reveal potluck" the following January.

Mission Hats - Knit Wits

Christ the King Knit-Wits have partnered with Prevent Suicide Fox Cities in making beanies for

local police officers. They are black with a royal blue stripe. Yarn and patterns will be provided for those interested in making these. Call or text

Marked Expectations – Tuesdays (December 1, 8, 15, 22) - 6:30pm

The season of Advent lends itself to time of discovery and dreaming. What is God up to? What will Christmas look like this year? Does God speak to us in our dreams? Dreaming helps people survive. We know from reading about biblical dreams that God speaks and connects with humankind to navigate life and to do God’s will.

During Advent, a midweek discussion group around Mark’s gospel will be provided. Pastor Judy has prepared four short videos to watch and discuss. Pastor Chuck will lead the discussion to ponder the Advent season of preparation for the coming of Christ’s birth.

Holiday Wish Tree

With Christmas fast approaching we have a local family in the need of some additional Christmas cheer.

The following is their wish list:

Girl 6: likes Frozen, Peppa Pig & Minnie and Doc; clothing size is 10-12. She likes M&Ms, sour cream & onion potato chips.

Girl 10: Likes Unicorns, drawing, Bendi and Sonic, Animal Crossing or Minecraft books. Clothing size 7-8. Also enjoys Funyuns and Cheetos.

Girl 13: Clothes size 10-12. Likes Harry Potter, BTS (Band) and Stitch Cartoons. Would like Harry Potter books 3&4. She enjoys Kit Kats and Oreos.

The family is also interested in: canned goods to be used throughout the year, A turkey (feeds 6), fresh carrots, potatoes, apples, paper products, warm waterproof mittens/gloves, hats,

pj's, gas cards and laundry detergent.
