Shabbat With Rabbi Or Rose

Join us on Saturday, December 1st for a special Shabbat service  led by our friend and visiting Rabbi, Or Rose, writer, social activist, and founding director of the Miller Center for Interreligious Learning and Leadership at Hebrew College. 
TCS/NT Annual Membership Meeting

Refreshments will be served starting at 9:30

There's one more election this season, and it's happening at the Synagogue. 

Join us for TCS/NT's annual meeting membership meeting to learn about how we did last year and what the plans are for 2019. The meeting will include the
president's report, committee reports, a chance to ask questions and make comments, and  board elections.
Cabaret Benefit for Operation Unite
"Moods and Melodies: Music From The Great American Songbook & Beyond"

The TCS/NT Social Action Committee is sponsoring a benefit for Hudson's    Operation Unite New Yorka non-profit helping to prepare Hudson's high school students for college through academic achievement and creative accomplishments. The Cabaret features TCS's own stars Joel Merker and Rachel Weisman, and our good friend Gary Gelfenbein on vocals, accompanied by John Sauer on keyboard and Otto Gardner on bass. Great entertainment for a great cause! 

Tickets are $25 and are available at or, if not sold out, may be purchased at the door.

TCS/NT Chanukah Party
Sunday, December 9th, 3:45pm
at the Synagogue

Join us on the last night of Chanukah for "Tales of Abundance, Tales of Want," an evening of storytelling, candle lighting, and latke eating.  

In the spirit of "Matzoh 2020" our two-year agricultural project, and in recognition of food insecurity throughout the world, the gathering will feature a selection of readings from the Hasidic masters, Shakespeare, Turkish folktales, German fairytales, and much more.

Holiday Toy Drive
Now through Thursday, Dec. 20th

TCS/NT's Social Action committee is collecting toys for local children enrolled in the Chatham Head Start Pre-School Program. Toys should be new, appropriate for ages 3-5 years old, and unwrapped. 

You can drop toys off at the Synagogue, lower level, on Saturdays, or in the marked bin on the porch of Carly & Dan Siebald at 1517 County Route 28, (near the Synagogue). The toy collection ends on Thursday, December 20th. You can contact Carly Seibald with questions:

Potluck & Film: "Speed Sisters"

Free and open to the public
Refreshments and a moderated discussion will follow the film

The Speed Sisters are the first all-woman race car driving team in the Middle East. The women have sped their way into the heart of the gritty, male-dominated Palestinian street car-racing scene. Weaving together their lives on and off the track, the film illustrates the challenges these women face and their extraordinary journey to live life on their own terms.
