President Lindsey called the meeting to order. Total attendance; 22 members;21 ,other Kiwanis members; Bob, our seasonal member from N. Carolina.  Our "Sheriff" Erin McNulty  collected good news dollars. Nice to see Maria today! 
  • No speaker today because of upcoming holiday. 
  • Everett Shell is recovering from surgery at HealthPark and welcomes visitors. He should be going to rehab very soon before he goes back home. 
  • Bob Adamski won the 50/50 today but the ace of hearts wasn't pulled. 
  • Gift cards: We have 2 cards donated to us for the BUG run from Prawnbroker. Seeking someone to buy one or both at face value $50 each. See Todd. 
  • We received a bunch of thank you letters and pictures from the 4th graders at Orangewood about the atlases. You can see them at a meeting. 
  • There is a "new" icon in this edition of the E-Newsletter. Can you find it?

Rayma Page Elementary need volunteers December 6th to help with their annual Invention Convention. This is where students from kindergarten to 5th present invention ideas and prototypes. The winners will move onto the regional fair in January at FGCU. There will be light refreshments. They begin at noon and should be completed by 1:30 p.m. "Would love  your support even if can only judge for half hour. Thank you for supporting our kiddos!" Contact Dennette Foy 432-2737 or

Oasis Reading/Mentoring (Stewart Ross) weekly  at Orangewood  Elementary on Wednesdays  9:30am-10:10am. Please let Stewart know if you can help. Four volunteers are needed each week. Come make a difference! 

MS Support Group(Bill Grant), meets 3rd Thursday of each month at St. Hilary Episcopal Church. 

Literacy Buddy  "Buddies" still welcome. You will be paired with a child (age 4-5). Three times a year you will get a letter from your child and a few notes from his/her teacher describing the type of book they would like to have. You purchase the book and it goes to your child.   Start by signing up:     In the section where it says preferred school write in Metro-McGregor Kiwanis Club. You should have received your first letter from your buddy. Books are due to the children; Jan 17th (second book) and April 17th, (third book). 

                                                    SLP's (Service Leadership Programs) 
Aktion Club -(Karen Hurst) at LARC. Meets 2nd Tuesday at 8:30am, year-round. They are collecting bottle caps as well. Bring in clean/used T-shirts for Karen to take as they are making more dog toys. 

CKI Club- at FGCU. (Stewart Ross)  CKI Mentorship-

Key Club-(Harris Segel) Collegiate High on FSW campus. 

Builder's Club-(Barbara Hartman, Todd Adams, Ada Trapanese) Cypress Lake Middle. They club recently participated in Community Day at their school and Barbara shared some of their upcoming projects including making cards for the troops. 

K-Kids-(Kim Berghs) Littleton Elementary. Meetings are currently every Wednesday at 2:15pm.
