Happy Thanksgiving
Hello,
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day and weekend. I will be going to my mom’s house, and she always outdoes herself and puts on a magnificent spread. Then I might have a little nap and repeat for dinner.
Many of you wrote to me letting me know that you enjoyed learning about homeopathic medicines this summer. I thought we could discuss two remedies today, that may be useful during the holiday weekend.
If you will be traveling over the holiday and experience motion sickness, there are two homeopathic medicines to consider. The first scenario is if the motion sickness is accompanied by faintness, dizziness, nausea and sweating then try Tabacum 30C or 200C. Take one dose (4 or 5 pellets depending on the brand) every 15 minutes until very much better or up to 10 doses. Stop when there is improvement. If you have taken 10 doses and there is no improvement then try the second motion sickness homeopathic, Nux Vomica 30C.
Nux vomica 30C is the homeopathic of choice if there is motion sickness accompanied by chills and queasiness. If there is a headache over one eye or at the back of the head. The Nux vomica picture is also worse from food, cigarette smoke and coffee. The dosing frequency is the same as the Tabacum, one dose every 15 minutes until very much better.
Another use for Nux vomica is for food or alcohol hangover. So, if you plan on eating too much turkey and stuffing and drinking too much alcohol to deal with family politics, you may want to have some Nux vomica 30C along.
I did a podcast about Nux vomica that you can listen to here.
Be safe out there and be sure to spend some time in gratitude during this Thanksgiving. Gratitude shapes the attitude.
