We want to take a moment to let you know how thankful we are for the opportunity to worship God, follow Jesus, serve others, and make disciples along side you!

We know this is a busy time. Below are some quick highlights of what's happening at AdventELC!
Start off the Thanksgiving holiday by giving thanks to God, the One from whom all blessings flow! We will celebrate the Great Thanksgiving, Holy Communion.

Worship begins at 7:00p.
All are welcome.

Advent members prepared 165 Thanksgiving Ingathering bags for LSS! ! The LSS Congregational Relations Manager, Ben Powers, told us today that LSS will be providing meals for 3,000 families in Central Ohio. That serves approximately 12,000 people!

Thanks to EVERYONE who gave to this year’s Thanksgiving Ingathering! SO MUCH FOOD that goes to LSS Food Pantries as yet another sign of God’s love and provision!
48th Annual Live Nativity is December 1 from 5-7:30p.
Our Live Nativity features a LIVE MANGER SCENE, PETTING ZOO, cookies, hot beverages, readings from scripture, and LIVE MUSIC featuring the barbershop harmonies of the Singing Buckeyes, Advent’s Adult Choir, and a Hallelujah Chorus Sing-a-long, as well as other activities!
Save a Stamp
The youth of AdventELC are doing a service project this Advent season.

If you are filling out Christmas Cards for members here at AdventELC, PLEASE DO NOT SEND THEM IN THE MAIL. Save a stamp and place them in the marked box in the narthex. The youth will alphabetize them every Sunday night and you can pick up your Christmas cards on the table in the narthex!
Advent Sermon Series
Christmas is a time to sing what we believe!
This four-week series provides an opportunity to appreciate the season's expressions of hope, lament, joy, and devotion in Christmas music.
Each week features a passage of Scripture, as well as a well-known Christmas carol that illustrates the true message of the season.
Blue Christmas
For some people this is not the most wonderful time of the year.
Join us for a time of lament and joy, light and darkness, longing and hope.

Saturday, December 21, 7:00p.
Christmas Eve at AdventELC
Join us for two wonderful worship services on Christmas Eve.
  • The 4:30p service is for those families with youth who like to make noise and participate.
  • The 7:00p service is our traditional candlelight service.
Holy Communion will be served at both services.
Go-Getter's Outing
On Wednesday, December 11 at 6:00 p.m., the Go-Getter's will be having their Christmas gathering at Bravo's at Lennox Square. Watch for a sign up in the Narthex. Contact Sandra Carpenter at 614-457-0870.
Again this year, we will be collecting hats, gloves, scarves and mittens for middle school students in the hilltop area. Please place your donations on the tree that will be located in the Narthex in the near future. Deadline for donations is December 16. See Jennifer Parker with any questions
