126 child survivors of sexual & physical abuse were interviewed and examined in a trauma sensitive multi-disciplinary team.
Aldea Substance Use Disorder Services (SUDS) Prevention provided 320 youth groups to 636 middle and high school students, as well as 16 presentations to 160 parents. 670 students were also screened for services.
Aldea clinics provided 505 mental health services in the community - 379 counseling services / 126 psychiatric services.
What we face together in 2021:
Teachers, care givers and parents requesting more support, more trainings to help children deal with trauma, anxiety, depression and isolation during COVID-19.
Aldea is providing more clothes, food and school supplies than ever before. Most foster youth arrive with nothing when entering the system.
More requests for intervention services to help students cope with local disasters of the wildfires, heat waves and racial inequality unrest on top of COVID-19.
Increase demand in intensive therapeutic treatment for children suffering from mental health issues complicated with poverty and COVID-19.
