As we at JFS prepare to enjoy the holiday with family and friends, we are keenly aware of the many who are not so fortunate and struggle day after day to make ends meet.
JFS is a resource for over 5,000 community members.
We hear their stories and share in both their worries and their joys
as we work to help those in need move from crisis to stability.
To alleviate some of the stress of the holiday, this week JFS worked with
Daniel’s Table
The Gerber Family
The Holiday Dreams Foundation
The Krantz Family
Market Basket
Solex Payroll Systems Inc.
plus over 25 volunteers to provide the fixings needed for a Thanksgiving meal to 130 low-income families (over 450 individuals!) as part of the
JFS Reducing Achievement Gaps program. At Wilson Elementary School in Framingham, there were smiles abundant as turkeys, pies and other goodies were handed out to families who otherwise might have gone without.
