Thanksgiving Message – 2024

As I pulled my thoughts together for this year’s message, I realized that this is the 18^th year putting this Thanksgiving e-newsletter together. I joined the chamber as a member (The Jefferson House B&B) in 1999, when we merged the South Beach Business Guild and Miami Network to form MDGLCC (thank you, David Treece). I wake up every day and feel blessed for my association with the organization and all of you. Life is all about relationships, whether family, friends, work associates, or the unique connections that surprise us on an otherwise ordinary day. Though my immediate family keeps getting smaller (my Mom passed away this past May…we miss her every day), my chamber family keeps growing in meaningful and beautiful ways.  

I give thanks for having an incredible partner in life, my husband of 25 years, Diego.  I give thanks for a fantastic work partner…thank you, Lisette. I have a great board of directors and leadership team that are a joy to collaborate with. Thanks to all of you. Although there are many things in this world, nation, and state that cause me great concern, I have faith and confidence that goodness, kindness, and strength of character will win through. So, as you celebrate this year’s day of thanks, let kindness, goodness, and strength of character guide your thoughts and words.
