Employee Spotlight
SAMANTHA RENARD
System Engineer | September 2021

"As a System Engineer, I can focus on one thing- keeping the lights on for our members in the safest way possible. My position focuses on system reliability improvements that identify ways to decrease outages, increasing system communications, and enhancing system coordination to ensure all parts of the grid work together seamlessly. In addition, I work directly with members if they have any questions or concerns about their service reliability, power quality, or hazards. Lastly, I assist in ensuring all AVECC systems, installations, and testing meet all national, state, and local regulations. My favorite part about working at AVECC is the Cooperative Difference. This is my first opportunity to work for a company with a member-owned business model, and the difference is outstanding. Members are truly part of the daily conversation. Every decision, no matter the size, is made with the cooperative membership in mind."
