The Very Rev. Dr. Don H. Compier is Dean of the Bishop Kemper School for Ministry, Canon Theologian of the Diocese of Kansas, and a Deputy to the 2018 General Convention. He serves on the boards of St. Francis Community Services and the Association of Episcopal Deacons.
Fr. Don has published several award-winning books. He is currently researching the history of the doctrine of the Eucharist in the Anglican communion, and the promotion of holiness in prayer book devotion.
A passionate world citizen, fluent in Dutch and Spanish, Dean Compier has offered workshops and consulted with theological educators in many nations. In September 2011 he addressed the meeting of the House of Bishops in Quito, Ecuador.
Fr. Compier has been married to Yolanda Santos of Mexico City for nearly 39 years. Their daughter, Nancy Gall, teaches French and Spanish at Belton Middle and High School. Nancy, Son-in-law AJ Gall (engineer, Burns and McDonnell) and grand daughter Elise, nearly three, also live in Lee’s Summit, MO.
