In the spirit of the holiday season, we would like to share a sincere thank you to all of our members for your dedication to the specialty of Family Medicine in Florida. We are grateful to have active practice, life members, & new members who go above and beyond to care for the patients in their communities.

November 2023 Capitol Update

The House and Senate gathered again the last two weeks in Tallahassee for a series of substantive and appropriations Interim Committee meetings. With the filed bill total now being 493 bills for the 2024 Legislative Session (238 in the Senate and 255 in the House), momentum is picking up for the January 9th opening day of session. The FAFP is working hard on HB 11/SB 458 regarding physician restrictive covenants and will keep the membership up to date on its progress as well as other bills of interest to family medicine.

Fulfill Your ABFM MOC Requirements at the 2023 FAFP Winter Summit!

Register now for the FAFP In-person ABFM KSA Study Groups that will be offered for In-Person attendees in conjunction with the 2023 Winter Summit. The KSA Registration deadline is Monday, December 4, 2023 at 11:59 PM EST.

Palliative Care: Thursday, December 7. 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM EST

Hypertension: Saturday, December 9. 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM EST

Important: These KSAs will be offered live, in-person only, and there will be no virtual component offered. Winter Summit attendees who have registered for In-Person attendance will be able to participate. Both KSA study groups will be held at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island.
