Please note: the office will be closed from Wednesday, 11/26 - Sunday, 11/30

Sunday, November 30th

Rev. Andrea will be away from Trinity on Sunday, November 30th. She will be gathering with extended family for a funeral service for her Mother, Wanda Finley Castner. Wanda died recently after a long illness.

Andrea and her family find comfort in believing she is reunited with Andrea's Father, the Rev. Dr. Edward Wallington Castner. Rev. Andrea is so grateful for the support of the Trinity parish family.

The Gingerbread House for Gift-Giving to Trinity's Adopted Family

Trinity is once again participating with The Newtown Fund in adopting a needy family for Christmas. Click here to access the Sign Up Genius page to select a gift. Purchase and wrap the gift. Attach a tag with the person's number and Family #25. Place it in the specially marked gingerbread house box in the Small Meeting Room by Wednesday, December 10th.

If you have any questions please contact Jeanne or Mark Benedict, Nancy Cole or Carol Bigman. Thank you in advance for your continued support and generosity to those less fortunate.

Little Pantry Community Donation

We were so touched and grateful for the donation we received on Monday.

For his 9th birthday party, this young man asked for food donations. His name is Stick and he goes to Head of Meadow School. His friend, Imogine is also shown in the photo. They came with their mom and a car full of food for the Little Pantry. Thank you to nine year old Stick and his unselfish generosity!

We have received many community donations recently. Thank you, Newtown!

because of that, The Little Pantry has added a donation box next to the pantry box so non-perishable items can be added to that box instead of inside the pantry. We try to keep an accurate count of what is given as this helps our fundraising.

Last week we concluded our unit on Moses with the exploration of how God promises to help us through the gift of the 10 Commandments. We came up with ways the 10 Commandments help us to love God and love others.

Looking ahead, we are entering the season of Advent; a time set aside for us to prepare for the coming of Christ's birth. During Advent we wait for the light that shines in our dark world. And at Trinity we are kicking off this season with Advent Merriment downstairs after church this Sunday! There will be paper advent wreath making, card decorating and Christmas trivia cards.

We’ll also have a chance to paint more “Little Pantry” bags to use for the generous donations our community continues to share with those in need.

There’s something for everyone! Kids, teens and grownups are encouraged to join us for a joyful start to the season!

One friendly reminder, the CS Pageant is fast approaching. Please contact Rev Allison or see me after church on Sunday if your child is interested in joining the fun and you have not already spoken to me. We are in need of animals and angels and perhaps even a narrator, for any older kids or teens!

Glass and Elevator Doors Open until 9:45am on Sunday Mornings

Trinity’s Ushers offer wonderful hospitality on Sunday mornings! We want all –

especially visitors or newcomers! - to experience their welcome. For this reason, we

believe it is important for people to enter doors that are attended after worship has

begun on Sunday mornings.

If you arrive after 9:45 on Sunday, please enter through the historic red doors on Main

Street. Please speak with Rev. Andrea if you have any questions.

Should you wish to make a donation to LL, please mail a check to First Congregational Church of Ridgefield (FCC), 103 Main Street, Ridgefield, Ct 06877. The memo line should read LLGD or click here.

New Process for Vouchers

Vouchers can now be submitted virtually. There is a new page on Trinity's website (Vouchers). Please use this online form as a way to submit vouchers. If you need help learning this new system, please contact Kim.
