Doug's Wine Review :
Flowers Chardonnay, Sonoma Coast, 2015 - $57.99
Cool Climate vineyard sites produce, in my opinion, the most compelling and complex wines in the state of California. This Chardonnay from the cool Sonoma Coast expresses some butter and oak on the nose and palate but these characteristics are restrained and balanced, allowing for the minerality, focused fruit aromas and orange blossoms to shine through. The taut acidity and long finish make this an elegant and balanced option for a night with your sweetie. So bring home some "Flowers" to your significant other for ValenWine's day.
Patrick's Wine Review :
Loveblock Pinot Noir, Central Otago, 2014 - $37.99
Beautifully rich and complex and from New Zealand's premier region for Pinot Noir, Cental Otago, this sexy Pinot Noir should be enjoyed with your sweetie over a Valentine's Day pheasant dinner for two!
Loveblock is the right choice for you and your love in your own private love shack.
Oh, and this Loveblock vintage scored! ....92 points from Wine Enthusiast...just like you will if you buy this wine for your Valentine's Day sweetheart!
Patti's Wine Review :
Slo Down "Sexual Chocolate" Red Blend, Napa, 2015 - $29.99
The note on the front of the bottle says this wine is to be "shared with girls" and being a girl, I'm pretty okay with that idea. Sharing is caring, as they say. This wine is meant to be playful and fun to drink. The kind of wine you want when you're feeling hedonistic. Don't let the unpretentious label fool you, this wine has quality at it's core. Deep, dark, ripe fruits are punctuated by earth and spice. The finish is full and smooth - probably like you'll feel after drinking a few glasses. Get sassy and grab some of this wine to share. It'll at least start up a conversation, plus the wine-maker put his number on the that could be fun.
David's Wine Review :
Two Hands "Sexy Beast" Cabernet, McLaren Vale, 2017 - $23.99
Have you had Mclaren Vale Cab? It is a sexy beast, indeed. 'Structured', 'grippy' and 'austere' are all words sometimes used to describe Cabernet Sauvignon this one is more of the rich, silky even bombastic type. It's a perfectly sexy accompaniment for an opulent Valentine's dinner.
Madison's Wine Review :
Montevetrano "Core" Aglianico, Campania, 2014 - $29.99
Gettin' cheesy here with the Valentine's day theme.. Core (pronounced kor-ay) means "love" in local Campanian dialiect. Aglianico from Montevertine is always a treat, and this bottling from experimental plots in San Cipriano and the classical Benevento area is no exception. Red fruits, licorice and spice. Pair with roasted or cured meats and a romantic date.
Madison Jr.'s Wine Review :
Fantinel "One and Only" Rosé Brut, Friuli - $21.99
Dry yet seductive, this sparkler pours a pretty pale pink color. Red fruits like fresh strawberry and cranberry come through on the mid-palate with a burst of acidity, giving it a fresh mouth-feel. This is a sparkling rosé perfect for celebrating with your "One and Only" love on Valentine's Day.
