Dear Providence,
Happy Valentine's Day! I hope this finds you surrounded with love, family, and friends.
Although many of you have been in touch with my staff, I'd like to share a little bit more about who they are and everything they do for Providence. Please reach out to them with any questions or issues you have with which we can help.
We would love to know what your favorite spots are in Providence!
With gratitude,

Meet Jo, a born and raised Fairfax County resident. Jo has been with the Providence team for a little over two years and her focus areas are early childhood, health and human services, and as of recently, scheduling for the Supervisor. Prior to the Providence District Office, she worked with Neighborhood and Community Services (NCS) for 7 years.
In her free time, she likes to tend to her houseplants, play Overcooked, go for walks around local lakes, write poetry, and try new places to eat. Jo loves to visit Merrifield Garden Center in Providence on the weekends!

Kim Jaramillo
Communications Manager
Kim was born and raised in the Philippines and became a naturalized citizen in 2022. She previously was a staff aide to former Chairman Sharon Bulova prior to joining Team Providence. Kim earned her undergraduate degree in Government and International Politics and is currently pursuing her graduate degree in Technical Communication.
In addition to her role as Communications Manager, Kim is the event coordinator, schools and early childhood education liaison, FOIA coordinator, and supports the Supervisor's work in the Council to End Domestic Violence (and serves on their Equity Subcommittee). Kim spends most of her free time reading thriller novels, playing Hogwarts Legacy, and hanging out with her senior pup. She thinks about Korean BBQ at least once a week and would recommend Meat Project. And if you have a sweet tooth, Rice Culture is a great spot!

Patricia Leslie
Administrative Aide
Patricia fled Tennessee in 2003 and came north to join those of a more similar persuasion. Before flight, she earned degrees in journalism, information science, and business administration at Tennessee universities. Since arriving in the DMV, she has held about 20 jobs (sometimes three simultaneously) and her current position helping Supervisor Palchik with transportation, recycling, parks, and solid waste is her favorite of all! She counts herself lucky to work with so many talented young staff members.
On the side, Patricia will enter her first bridge tournament this month, renewing a high school interest! She writes theatre reviews and covers community events for a weekly newspaper and she has a blog about "culture."
Patricia can't wait to see inside The Mather in Tysons which opens this year!
