Alabama Gulf Coast Properties
We are living in some interesting times right now. People are moving into our county from all areas. I have developers calling me about 10-60 acre parcels for development. Even talking about combining a couple of parcels to have the acreage they need. Another thing they need is a paved road. So, if you don’t want to have a developer look at your property, just fight to keep your road dirt. (This last round of buyers said they had deep pockets).
Maybe these buyers are ready to tack down a loan before the interest rates start climbing and maybe this is where the movement is going. One of the buyers said his town is dying and how exciting it must be to be part of all this growth! Then on another level, we have children walking into our schools that can’t speak English. They speak languages that come from tribes we don’t know in areas that seem remote. No parents, no English but papers from the border.

My sister is running for State House of Representative seat 94. Jennifer is by far one of the most upstanding citizens that I know. I give her grief all the time! We grew up fairly poor on a small farm, although Mom says, “Fiddle, you don’t know what poor is.” And I believe her. So we grew up without much on a small farm where we learned many skills. There are many great things about my sister, but the ones that mean the most to our family are faith, integrity, and hard work. My sister has done so many things to make our communities better. She will listen to and understand your fears and concerns as we move into this exploding population growth in our area. Fun facts: My sister is a better shot than most anyone I know and she has a whistle you can hear from a mile away. To say I’m Proud of my sister is an understatement! FIDLER FOR HOUSE!!

So I’m celebrating my one-year anniversary owning and operating my little real estate agency. I was scared to go on my own, but I did it!! I’m also celebrating five years as a broker and going on 10 years as a realtor. I love talking to people about property. I love listing and selling land and homes more than anything. I consider myself a waterfront and rural specialist. Every transaction brings more experience and I’ve had well over 200. Experience counts in this business. I’ve got 2 buyers looking for small parcels and will pay for them!!

Happy Valentines Day!!
Valentine’s Day, also called St. Valentine’s Day,  holiday (February 14) when lovers express their affection with greetings and gifts. Given their similarities, it has been suggested that the holiday has origins in the Roman festival of Lupercalia, held in mid-February. The festival, which celebrated the coming of spring, included fertility rites and the pairing off of women with men by lottery. At the end of the 5th century, Pope Gelasius I forbid the celebration of Lupercalia and is sometimes attributed with replacing it with St. Valentine’s Day, but the true origin of the holiday is vague at best. Valentine’s Day did not come to be celebrated as a day of romance until about the 14th century. Valentine's Day is celebrated on Monday, February 14, 2022.
