Love and the Affect It Has on
Your Hormones
to Lose Weight

I wish everyone a happy Valentine’s day! This is one of my favorite holidays of the year because we’re celebrating love. Falling in love is such a beautiful thing. You see life in a new perspective, a much happier perspective. And you may not realize this, but there is a correlation between love and weight-loss. So if you’re trying to lose a few pounds, falling in love just might do the trick.

Why? Well first, falling in love is a great motivation to lose weight because it increases your dopamine levels and makes you happy. When you’re happy and feel good about yourself, you’re more willing to do what it takes to lose the weight.

Falling in love also makes you burn fat faster because it boosts your norepinephrine, which turns your fat into energy and metabolizes your body more efficiently. Lastly, the hormone phenethylamine is present, which is the nervous feeling you get when worrying about a relationship, but it also helps increase fat burning efficiency and suppresses your appetite. See how great it is to be in love, not only personally but physically for your body.

Skyhorse Publishing x Sima Cohen

I wanted to give you all a quick update. I've been so consumed with my first book of 100 recipes, but absolutely happy that it's all coming together. It is certainly not an easy job creating a book but will be well worth it once I am able to share my weight-loss recipes and transform the lives of many around the world.

This recipe is gluten-free, sugar-free, dairy-free, diabetic friendly, and a perfect treat for today. I got all my ingredients from Melissa's Produce.

Serves: 4-6
Prep Time:
 5 minutes

Cook Time: minutes

  • 4 Medium Ripe Avocados
  • 1/3 Cup Blue Agave
  • ½ Cup Raw Cacao Powder
  • Pinch of Sea Salt
  • Fresh Strawberries and Blackberries for Decoration

1.    In high speed blender or food processor blend avocado until smooth. Take a knife and cut across the vanilla bean and scrape the inside into the blender. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend for 2 minutes or until all ingredients are mixed together well.
2.    Chill for one hour in fridge or half hour in freezer.
Fill in a martini glass with the mouse. Sprinkle with strawberries, pistachios and cacao nibs.
