Recently the women in our program completed a mindfulness series that, along with their monthly yoga classes, has helped them navigate their stress and anxiety from the pandemic. Mental health has been one of our priorities during these challenging times because we know that the pandemic has not only been challenging on people’s finances, but also on their emotional and mental health.
South Central LAMP recognizes the importance of supporting the family as a whole; therefore our monthly zoom Cafecitos have also been a great place for our families to get vital information about the pandemic and resources available to help during these challenging times.
While the surge made us become a hybrid program again we were ready! We have learned to think on our feet and to adapt our services to make sure our families feel safe. This is our way of showing compassion and love to our families as we look forward to a much brighter Spring.
