A Note from Nancy - Our Development Director
I am excited to be part of the Carol House Quick Fix Pet Clinic team serving as the Development Director. My job is to promote this wonderful organization and educate the community on the need to spay and neuter pets to help reduce the pet population. Through creating videos and writing up lots of informative news in the monthly E-Newsletter I’ll be sharing many wonderful stories about what the amazing veterinarians, vet techs and office staff are doing here in St. Louis and Rolla to take care of family’s precious dogs and cats. We thank you all for YOUR part in donating time, money and needed supplies, sharing our FB posts, and attending our fundraisers. We are BETTER TOGETHER!

Would you like to make an
in-kind donation this month?
Meet Brandon! This energetic young man came to our Carol House Quick Fix Pet Clinic with his cat Carl. Previously he brought in his cat OJ (pictured here) But the awesome thing is that Brandon and his mom Brandy knew about our “Needs List” and bought an extra bottle of laundry detergent at the store to bring in. AWESOME! So, I encourage you all today to “Be like Brandon!” Next time you go to the store, grab just ONE extra roll of Paper Towels, Toilet Paper, Liquid laundry detergent, Bleach, White copy paper, or 13-gallon trash bags. If everyone coming into our clinic brought just ONE item, we’d NEVER have to spend a donation dime on these daily supplies ever again! And keeping our surgery costs low helps more families afford to spay and neuter their pets... which keeps the pet population low… so who would have EVER thought that a bottle of laundry detergent could DO SO MUCH!?! (Or a roll of toilet paper for that matter!) So thank you Brandon and Brandy…and all of you who donate to our cause.

How to make a Cat Shelter-
with Bonnie The Cat Lady
St. Louis winters are tough on outdoor pets. Bonnie – our “Community Cat Coordinator" demonstrates how to create a CAT SHELTER to keep community cats warm!
You only need 5 materials to make these, and you can click here to watch the video of her making 2 shelters.
Cat Shelter Video
Materials needed are: A cooler (Styrofoam or hard shell) caulk, duct tape, a knife or 6” hole saw to cut the hole, and clean straw to put inside. I learned to NOT put hay, blankets or paper inside because these materials can absorb water and freeze, which makes the cooler cold. Also, I learned this: HAY is food, STRAW is bedding! Bonnie is so wise and dedicated to keeping our community cats warm, and she also helps catch feral cats and brings them in for spay/neutering services.
Bonnie is AMAZING!!

The BEST part of our day!!!
