Happy Valentine's Day!

How do we show our love to the ones who matter most in our lives?
Can we ever love as unconditionally as a child does?
How do we best show love to kids who have been traumatized?
Will love always overcome harm?

These are the kinds of questions we've been asking at Pendleton Place, and we always come to the same conclusion - love heals! We want to spread love for children, youth, and families as much as we can, which is why this Valentine's Day, we will be celebrating in a special way!  T omorrow night (Thursday, February 14th), Swamp Rabbit Cafe & Grocery
will be having a DJ Dance Party from 5-10 p.m.
The event will feature music, pizza, drinks, and plenty of fun!
A percentage of the proceeds from the event will benefit Pendleton Place, where we are committed to keeping children safe and rebuilding families. We invite you to come spread the love with us!

Can't make it? Make a donation today to help ensure that every child experiences the love they deserve.
Our Girls are Thriving!

The girls at Smith House are doing incredible things!  If you have been following Brianna's story, you know what an incredible and resilient young lady she is. She recently finished her first semester of college... and made the Honor Roll! We are so proud of her for this huge accomplishment!

And she's not the only one--  the other girls in our care have their own exciting accomplishments. Two of our residents  recently passed the test to receive their beginner's permits and will be on the road in no time! We are incredibly proud of the young ladies we serve and know this is only the beginning of their successes.
National Mentoring Summit

At the beginning of February, our Mentoring & Outreach Coordinator, Ethan, attended the National Mentoring Summit in Washington, D.C. He got to check out the national mall, learn the best practices and models in mentoring, and connect with individuals throughout the nation who are equally as passionate about investing in today's youth! He even got to meet with former Pendleton Place board member, Senator William Timmons. We cannot wait to see how he uses all he learned  to enhance our work with youth experiencing homelessness!
DPR Construction

We are grateful to recognize DPR Construction as one of our most consistent and generous corporate partners. From providing volunteers and much-needed in-kind services to awarding program-sustaining grants, this organization always steps up to meet the needs of children, youth, and families. The support we receive from community partners like DPR keeps us going strong as an organization. Thank you, DPR, for all you do!
